The Development and Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in supporting fundraising, marketing efforts, and volunteer programs to advance the mission of Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas. This position is responsible for creating compelling marketing collateral, assisting with donor communications, coordinating volunteer activities, and providing administrative support for the development department.
Essential Functions
- Design and produce compelling marketing materials.
- Manage social media accounts and website updates to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
- Assist in developing content that highlights the center’s impact, including client stories, testimonials, and program updates, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support event planning and logistics for fundraising events, donor appreciation, and community outreach efforts.
- Prepare donor lists, mailing lists, and event guest lists for appeals, events, and engagement efforts.
- Represent the organization at networking events, community gatherings, and partner meetings.
- Recruit, train, onboard, and manage volunteers to support CAC programs, services, and events.
- Implement volunteer orientation, training sessions, and recognition programs.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, track hours, and ensure compliance with background check policies.
- Serve as the primary contact for volunteers and address any questions or concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travel
This position will require some travel between all offices, Lewisville, Denton, and Bridgeport. Additionally, this position frequently requires evening hours and occasional weekend work.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, non-profit management, or related field required.
Experience
- 2 plus years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, volunteer coordination, or related work required.
- Experience supporting donor relations, planning fundraising events, and coordinating volunteers is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with donor management systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge
- Basic knowledge of marketing or communication tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp) required.
