The CFAC is a beacon of hope for children and families facing adversity. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support, advocacy, and empowerment to individuals affected by abuse, neglect, and domestic violence. In addition to our advocacy programs, we operate a residential program offering a safe and nurturing environment for women and children in crisis. We are committed to fostering healing, resilience, and self-sufficiency through a multidisciplinary approach.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic support and guidance to children, families, and residents of our residential program. Your work will be essential in helping individuals navigate their emotional and psychological challenges, fostering personal growth, and supporting their journey toward stability and empowerment.

Responsibilities could include:

Individual and Group Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children, families, and residents. Address issues such as trauma, abuse, domestic violence, and emotional well-being using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.

Support: Offer emotional support and practical guidance to clients as they navigate their challenges. Advocate for their needs within the residential program and broader community resources.

Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crisis situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Provide immediate support and develop safety plans as required.

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including social workers, case managers, and medical professionals, to coordinate care and support services. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.

Education and Training: Provide educational workshops and training sessions on topics related to mental health, trauma recovery, and personal empowerment for clients and staff.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of all counseling sessions, assessments, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Relevant licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW) required.

- Experience providing counseling or therapeutic services to children, families, and individuals affected by trauma, abuse, or domestic violence.

- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.

- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and the mission of the organization.

- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are a plus.
