The Children’s Advocacy Center of SW Florida (CAC) is a busy non-profit agency located in Fort Myers serving Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties. At CAC, we offer abuse determination services for children as well as therapeutic counseling, parenting education, and prevention programs.
The MDT and Partner Relations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the collaboration and coordination efforts within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to enhance outcomes for victims of child abuse. This role involves managing the MDT Members, ensuring compliance with Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) protocols, and fostering partnerships with relevant stakeholders. The MDT and Partner Relations Specialist will also coordinate and chair case review meetings.
General Responsibilities (full job description will be provided upon interview) :
- Coordinate and facilitate case review meetings, ensuring day-to-day information sharing and activities with MDT members.
- Coordinate CAC services with participating agencies, including CPS, law enforcement, the State Attorney’s Office, medical, victim advocacy, and mental health.
- Provide orientation to all new MDT members.
- Work with the COO to develop, implement, and monitor, on an ongoing basis, an organizational and programmatic system to ensure appropriate quality control of all program activities relating to NCA Standards for the MDT, Forensic Interviewing, and Case Tracking.
- Identify, articulate (verbally and in writing), and implement appropriate agency / multidisciplinary team (MDT) policies, protocols, and procedures related to best - practice standards.
- Act as liaison among all partner agencies and outside community agencies as needed, promoting strong effective working relationships.
- Assist and recruit additional partner agencies to promote strong, effective working relationships.
- Assess training needs of MDT to include coordinating and / or conducting trainings and documenting required training hours, as needed.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of CPT department Protocol Manuals, Interagency Agreement, resource materials, and assist with special projects etc.
- Develop, oversee, and monitor data collection systems for CPT.
- Conduct specialized clinical and forensic interviews of children. Interview family members and significant others as needed to complete psychosocial assessment.
- Complete assessments of children and compile accurate, comprehensive, grammatically correct reports. Forward reports to necessary parties upon completion, but no later than within the time frames consistent with program requirements and best practice.
