- Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Provide care, including feeding, changing, and comforting as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning atmosphere.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure all health guidelines are followed.
Skills
- Experience working with children in various settings (daycare, nannying, or caregiving).
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- First aid certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
