Job Type: Full -Time
Salary: $26.41/hour
Lifespan Compensation: $26.41/hour - $29.60/hour

This role's primary purpose is to assist in monitoring and providing oversight of the quality of All For Kids Behavioral Health Services. This role assists with problem solving quality assurance and data entry issues to support staff in meeting documentation standards consistent with DMH contractual regulations and All For Kids's Policies and Procedures.

This role's secondary purpose is to coordinate office activities with emphasis on record keeping functions and monitoring related to staff trainings and EBP certifications, annual cultural competency training, CANS and BBS license renewals and submitting related information as required


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource for staff to support the implementation of Quality Improvement and Utilization Review efforts related to request for services and program evaluation.
  • Coordinate with Behavioral Health administrative staff and supervisors to support effective data collection/entry into internal OMA data-base and resolve any interface concerns.
  • Participates in Quality Improvement meetings both internally and externally to act as liaison between agency and DMH to assist with communication of new policies and procedures, audits, etc., to Director of Quality Improvement & Training.
  • Assists with monitoring EHR reports to identify documentation compliance issues and impact on billing & reimbursement standards.
  • Assists with non-clinical quality assurance reviews of client records to ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  • Monitors implementation of data collection and data entry for Mental Health program evaluation.
  • Accurately enters all Assessment/Outcome Measures data into DMH OMA system.
  • Assists with development of DMH OMA data entry performance standards.
  • Assists with identifying obstacles to effective use of internal OMA data-base.
  • Implements and documents compliance issues, as well as communicates findings to QA Administrative Manager and appropriate supervisor for follow-up and resolution.
  • Maintains up to date information on any DMH OMA issues or changes and disseminates the information to appropriate staff.
  • Monitors implementation of data collection and submission of Outcomes Measures for PEI, FSP & EPSDT services to DMH systems.
  • Monitors implementation of data collection and updates logs related to staff training and certification in EBPs (MAP, TFCBT, IPT, CPP, & IY)
  • Supports the Exit Checklist process by facilitating meetings and generating pending item reports (Pending Session Notes, Paperwork and Forms, Client list by staff & Outstanding OMAs) for staff leaving the agency.
  • Monitors and conducts OIG & Medi-Cal sanction screenings monthly.
  • Conducts Administrative Audits as assigned.
  • Completes trainings as assigned.
  • Provides customer service support pertaining to the Consumer Perception Survey process.

General

  • Maintain confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel and clients.
  • Maintain positive communications with all agency staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Exercise good judgment in performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Support existing agency policies, principles, and mission.

Job Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years experience in data entry.
  • Computer literacy required, including knowledge and experience with Microsoft office, Windows, and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of agency-based electronic health record system required.
  • Ability to function as a member of an inter-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform general administrative duties, including office machines, record-keeping and filing.
  • Familiarity with L.A. County IBHIS is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license plus ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of the job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish may be required.
