Direct Support Professionals
The Adult Day Program for Individuals over the age of 21 years who have a developmental and/or intellectual disability is located on a 10 acre beautifull campus in Neptune City, NJ. We are an activity and leisure-based program.
We are seeking Direct Support Professionals willing to support our adults while both on site and also in the community. i.e., restaurants, museums, parks, malls, libraires, bowling, etc.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including on-site events and community visits.
- Work with your colleagues while implementing our participants' Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
- Ensure the safety and well-being of those enrolled.
- Maintain ongoing accurate documentation of activities, daily routines, behaviors, and services provided. - Complete on our time, the required employee training and development programs. - - work in a collaborative, team centered, open communication environment of dedicated professionals.
Skills: (High School Diploma or its equivalent required)
- Some experience working with special needs adults is preferred.
- Ability to read and write English due to recording of daily documentation
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
