Direct Support Professionals
Our Adult Day Program is for Individuals over the age of 21 years who have a developmental and/or intellectual disability. We are located on a 10 acre beautiful campus in Neptune City. We are an activity and leisure-based program looking for Direct Support Professionals willing to support our adults while both on site and also when we go into the community to restaurants, museums, parks, malls, libraires, bowling, etc.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will:
- Assist with daily activities, including on-site events and community visits.
- Work with colleagues implementing our participants' Individualized Service Plan
- Ensure the safety and well-being of our men and women.
- Maintain ongoing accurate documentation of activities, daily routines, behaviors, and services provided. - Complete the required training programs. All done while on our time. - Work with dedicated professionals as a TEAM.
Skills: (High School Diploma or its equivalent required)
- Some experience working with special needs adults is preferred.
- Ability to read and write English due to recording of daily documentation.
- Ability to lift and assist individuals if needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
