FLSA Status : ExemptReports to : Executive DirectorDepartment : Behavioral HealthSummary : The Lead Counselor will have a dual role in providing leadership, supervision of staff and oversight of the organization’s counseling department with a percentage of time delegated to provide direct services. The Lead Counselor position requires ability to work in a team environment, ability to manage roles and assignments, managing budget, and have solid organizational, communication and relationship building skills to help build sustainability of program.Specific position duties and responsibilities : Oversees and prioritizes the day-to-day staff schedules / work shift assignments for the counselors, including patient care needs, coordinating paid-time off and approving biweekly timecards. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the staff schedule.Oversees and facilitates the recruitment, orientation, and training of counselors, assuring competency and facilitates relevant educational opportunities.Assures that new staff receive an orientation of sufficient duration and content.Completes regular chart reviews and performance appraisals for all direct reports and provides information to the Director of Compliance and Development.Facilitates staff participation in workflow process and improvementsProvide information regarding supplies and staffing needs for consideration in the departmental budget.Builds and maintains relationships with other departments across the agency continuum of care and agencies in the community.Administration and coordination of all counseling programsMaintenance of all documentation and licensing requirementsProvision of individual and family counseling sessionsMaintenance and oversight of client filesMedicaid provider network compliance and billingNC Tracks accounts - organizational and personalCooperation with the NC Board of LCSW and other licensing boardsEnsure program quality of fidelity of all counseling programsMaintenance of provider network requirementsClinical supervision for all counseling staffOther duties as assigned by the Executive DirectorGeneral agency duties and responsibilities : Able to articulate and understand the mission of the organization when communicating needs of the organization to grant institutions, auditor, and managementRepresent the organization in presentationsRepresent the organization in local, regional, and statewide meetingsMinimum qualifications : Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Professional with experience in Child and Family Therapy8-10 Years ExperienceLicensure and in good standingExperience with youth and family servicesSatisfactory criminal background checkSatisfactory drug screenKnowledge, skills and abilities : Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formAbility to bill Medicaid through network providersStrong organization skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamComputer literate-experience with Microsoft OfficeStrong presentation skillsMust be able to driveOther requirements : Valid North Carolina driver’s license and satisfactory driving recordPersonalvehiclefor use in conducting home visits and / or transporting clients in the event agency vehicles are not availableProof of current and valid car insuranceWork environment : Occasional evening and weekend hours requiredCulture of care and wellness with work environmentOccasional exposure to outside weather conditionsPotential exposure to blood borne and / or airborne pathogensJob Type : Full-timePay : $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits : 401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule : Monday to FridayWeekends as neededWork Location : In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
