Description

Children’s Clinics is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for utilizing independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance, setting up, configuring, and supporting internal and/or external networks, servers and desktops. Develops and maintains all operating systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Recommends and installs upgrades, patches, software, and equipment.  Provide technical support and guidance to I.S. staff and users.

As a member of the Information Systems (I.S.) team, the Systems Administrator will join a small and agile team providing technical support to internal and external clients. The Systems Administrator will set up and configure internal/external networks, servers and desktops; Develop and maintain all operating systems, applications, security; recommend and install upgrades, patches, software and equipment. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, possess strong communication, time management and organization skills coupled with solid experience and knowledge of MicroSoft Exhange, MicroSoft Office, Citrix, SQL, SQL Server, VMWare, Python, Azure, and NextGen EMR.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supports quality improvement initiatives through team participation, data collection, process change implementations and other activities.
• Provides primary (PACS) administration support including system security, upgrades, and end-user support.
• Maintains accurate and complete inventory of computer equipment and configurations.
• Trains users on system operation, assists others, and supports user applications.
• Provides Helpdesk support for the Clinic and troubleshoots desktop and peripheral devices.
• Recommends, installs, configures and maintains complex server applications including databases.
• Coordinates relationships with hardware and software vendors and outside consultants.
• Manages the relationship with TMC IT technical staff to implement and maintain IT network and server infrastructure.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to install, configure and upgrade complex system applications, databases, utilities and hardware.
• Ability to develop computer operations and administration procedures.
• Ability to perform administration and support Citrix XenApp.
• Ability to provide technical assistance to staff including interpretation of specifications.
• Ability to keep abreast of the latest developments and studies regarding new technologies and their application to our business.
• Ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge of much of the Clinic operations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in management information systems or related field or equivalent combination or education and experience required.

Experience:

Two or more years of experience in software support and development experience with NextGen or other healthcare application preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!

FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE

Employees are required to maintain a current Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Proof of a current fingerprint clearance card must be received within 90 days of employment.
