Summary
The Children's Community Head Start Birth to Five program is looking to hire an Infant / Toddler Specialist to support enrolled children, staff and families. This position supports families enrolled in both the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma Centers, as well as our Home Based program.
Duties
Classroom support and interventions, providing strategies within the classroom, modeling appropriate interventions, guiding families through the Early Intervention process, tracking infant / toddler developmental milestones, and coordinating with Early Intervention providers, participation in IFSP meetings
Requirements
Minimum requirements include : Bachelor's Degree in Special Education preferred, a related field with special education coursework will be considered. Experience working with children 0-3 yrs, excellent communication skills, knowledge of early intervention programs and strategies

Bilingual Spanish / English a plus.

This position is full time, M-F 8 : 00am- 4 : 00pm. It is a 12 month position that follows a modified school calendar. Medical and Dental benefits after 3 months. Retirement benefits and Tuition Assistance is also offered
