Overview: Children’s Cove: The Cape & Islands Child Advocacy Center is recognized as the foremost advocacy center providing comprehensive and coordinated multidisciplinary services to child victims of child sexual abuse, serious physical abuse, witness to domestic violence, and child exploitation and trafficking on Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard.
Summary: Children's Cove is hiring a Mental Health Coordinator to help children and families experiencing trauma. This role will provide individual therapy, both in person and via telehealth, lead support groups, and provide psychoeducation on trauma to families and the community. A Master’s Degree (Social Work, Counseling, etc.) is required, and 3-5 years of experience working with children and families is preferred. Experience with specific trauma therapies (like TF-CBT) and fluency in Spanish or Portuguese are a plus. A $5000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements:
- Minimum: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field and licensed as a LICSW/LCSW/LMHC with knowledge of child abuse, neglect, and child development.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience with children and families, experience with trauma therapies (like TF-CBT or EMDR), fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, and experience leading groups are preferred.
