Requirements:
- Pediatric dental assisting experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Welcoming patients and their guardians.
- Preparing treatment rooms.
- Taking dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Cleaning teeth.
- Placing dental sealants.
- Educating patients and guardians on oral hygiene.
- Documenting dental care services
Assisting the Dentist:
- Preparing patients for treatment.
- Setting up instrument trays.
- Assisting during dental procedures.
- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments.
- Operating dental equipment.
- Providing postoperative instructions.
Skills:
- Communication: The ability to effectively communicate with children and parents, using kid-friendly language and explaining procedures clearly.
- Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build rapport with children and put them at ease during dental visits.
