What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Billing Coordinator position at Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics?
Our busy dental office is looking for a dental billing coordinator to join our team. Billing support will be provided for multiple office locations and providers.
**Denti-cal billing experience is required.**
Duties include but are not limited to;
- Claim Submission: Prepare and submit dental insurance claims electronically or manually, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Claim inquiry forms.
- Payment Processing: Receive, post, and reconcile patient and insurance payments.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage with insurance companies.
- Claim Follow-up: Monitor claim status, investigate denials, and follow up with insurance companies to resolve issues.
- Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, outstanding balances, and payment options.
- Reporting: Generate reports on billing and collections data.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
This is a full-time position 8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Friday. Benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, and 401K/profit sharing. Background and drug screening are included with the employment application process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Dental Billing and Coding: Familiarity with dental insurance, billing procedures, and coding systems (e.g., CDT codes) is essential.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and dental staff.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using dental billing software and other computer applications.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulousness are crucial for accurate billing and claim processing.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies.
- Experience with billing and posting denti-cal insurance is required
