Job Title: Children's Market Manager

Location: Flexible/Remote (with in-person event opportunities)
Hours: Flexible (including weekends and evenings as needed)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a dynamic, creative, and entrepreneurial Children’s Market Manager & Event Host to join our team! This is a unique role where you'll have the chance to create and manage exciting, kid-friendly events, markets, and activities while fostering a fun and educational environment for children and families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with kids, a flair for event planning, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of kids’ markets and events, while also hosting and interacting with families to ensure an enjoyable experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Management:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute kids’ markets and entrepreneurial events, including pop-up shops, craft fairs, educational workshops, and family-friendly activities.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including vendor coordination, location selection, marketing, and on-site management.
  • Ensure events run smoothly, on time, and within budget, while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere for children and families.
  • Create themed events that encourage children to learn entrepreneurial skills, creativity, and community engagement.
  • Market Development & Growth:
  • Source and build relationships with local vendors, makers, and organizations to participate in children’s markets.
  • Foster partnerships with schools, community centers, and family-focused organizations to promote events and attract attendees.
  • Continuously seek new ideas and opportunities to innovate and improve kids’ market experiences.
  • Event Hosting & Engagement:
  • Act as the main host for events, engaging with children and families, guiding them through activities, and ensuring everyone has a memorable experience.
  • Coordinate kid-focused entertainment and workshops, such as arts & crafts, storytelling sessions, and interactive learning experiences.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of all children during events, maintaining a supportive and friendly environment.
  • Marketing & Promotion:
  • Develop marketing campaigns to promote events, using social media, email newsletters, and local community platforms.
  • Work with the marketing team to create engaging content and visuals that resonate with families.
  • Track event attendance and engagement, using data to inform future events and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event planning, project management, or a related field, preferably focusing on children’s events or family-focused programming.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create and implement unique event concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and vendors.
  • Creative, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions on the fly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A passion for children’s development, education, and community-building.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as event schedules demand.
  • Experience in social media marketing and event promotion is a plus.
