ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Technical Product Designer, you'll be at the heart of innovation, bridging the gap between design and production to bring our furniture and children's products to life. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As our Technical Product Designer, you will:

  • Create and Develop - Transform conceptual designs into detailed technical specifications, including CAD drawings, tech packs, and material specifications.
  • Collaborate & Innovate - Work closely with Product Development, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure designs are both creative and manufacturable.
  • Ensure Quality - Participate in sample reviews, provide feedback, and refine designs to meet our high standards for construction, durability, and aesthetics.
  • Drive Efficiency - Manage product design and development from concept to production, helping optimize processes and solve technical challenges along the way.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends - Research industry trends, market preferences, and customer insights to contribute fresh, innovative design ideas.
  • Work with Vendors - Partner with domestic and international vendors to maintain consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

ABOUT YOU:

You're the right candidate if you:

  • Have a strong technical skill set - You're proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, with experience developing technical drawings and product specifications.
  • Think like a designer, work like an engineer - You understand materials, construction, and manufacturing processes and can ensure your designs are both beautiful and functional.
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented - You can juggle multiple projects at different stages, keeping everything running smoothly while maintaining a sharp eye for precision.
  • Love working as a team - You collaborate well with Product Development, Engineering, and Production teams, ensuring alignment from concept through production.
  • Know how to bring ideas to life - Whether it's creating prototypes, refining samples, or troubleshooting design challenges, you're always working toward the best possible end product.
  • Are adaptable and resourceful - You thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace challenges as opportunities to innovate and improve.
  • Stay ahead of trends - You keep an eye on industry trends, compliance requirements, and market needs to design products that stand out and drive success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Product Design/Development, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in product design, preferably in furniture or consumer goods.
  • Strong technical drawing, rendering, and pattern-making skills.
  • Experience working with vendors and manufacturers, both domestic and international.
