Classification: Full Time; Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Therapy
Supervisor Responsibilities: No
Location: 121 W. 154th St in Harvey, IL
Shift: Varies depending on the needs of the facility
Purpose: Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant will provide maximum therapy services to the patient.
Responsibilities:
- Performs physical therapy procedures as assigned by Physical Therapist
- Completes monthly progress notes
- Participates in staffing, I.E.F. & I.P.P's as assigned
- Attends in-service training as needed
- Participates in quality improvement activities
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Aide training
- Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug testing
- Experience working with various socioeconomic populations is a plus.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
