About the Role

As an Orthodontic Assistant , you will work directly with orthodontists and patients to assist with orthodontic procedures and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the office. You will play a critical role in helping patients achieve their best smile by assisting with orthodontic procedures, providing excellent patient care, and supporting office operations.

Responsibilities

Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and orthodontic procedures.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use.

Take dental impressions and X-rays as directed by the orthodontist.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions for orthodontic appliances.

Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with treatment information, in compliance with HIPAA.

Provide support to patients by addressing their questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files.

Collaborate with the orthodontic team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient experiences.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications :

At least 3 years experience in an orthodontic setting, pediatrics is a plus

Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License or Orthodontic Assistant License

Successful completion of the initial online assessment provided during the application process.

Willingness to work 2 Saturdays a month

Strong positive and friendly attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients and families.

Skills :

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Dedicated to providing compassionate patient care and contributing to a supportive, friendly clinic atmosphere.

Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively with both administrative and clinical teams to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality patient care.
