Summary
The Lead Food Service Tech is responsible for completing a variety of duties, including food preparation, cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment and work area, serving, and cashiering. Assist team leaders by directing and assigning employees as needed to ensure all aspects of quality food and service delivery are met. Monitor employee compliance with operational standards, along with other department and company policies and practices. Ensure compliance with national standards established by regulatory agencies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families and internal customers to provide an exemplary level of customer service.

Responsibilities
- Assist with daily Management of the Food Service Team to include Production/Patient Services/Catering/Retail
- Customer Service/Labor/Purchasing/Labeling/Dating/Waste/Sales/Catering/Temperature daily audits
- HACCP focused with TDH/City and other regulatory agencies
- Ongoing and initial training of staff to ensure compliance capabilities
- Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patients we service and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues related to our population.
- Mathematical and analytical skills required to record, monitor, and oversee operations
- Computer skills necessary to record and interpret data, create and print signs, and other materials as needed
- Assist Food Service Department as needed with additional duties
- Identifies areas of risk/problems advises food service leadership. Works on resolution while keeping leadership informed.
How You’ll Be Successful:
- Food Handler Certification
- Food Manager Certification
- At least 1 year Leadership Experience Pref
- High school diploma or equivalent Req
- Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire and maintain current status thereafter Req
