Shift: Monday through Saturday 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM-Please note this is the time period in which services are provide. Shift time and coverage may vary.

PRN Rate: $32.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing music therapy interventions to address the following needs of the patient and /or patient family: Diagnosis of terminal illness, Psychosocial issues, Grief and Bereavement issues, Group Activity, Developmental concerns, Acute crisis, Withdrawal and/or depression and Psychiatric disorders.
• Create and manage patient treatment plans, maintain patient documentation, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the health care team.
• Educate staff across numerous disciplines regarding psychosocial and emotional concerns and the benefits of music therapy.
  
  

Work Experience

How You’ll Be Successful:

• At least 2 years job related experience preferred
• Medical background or direct experience preferred
• Medical experience within pediatric acute care hospital environment preferred
  
  

EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree within relevant field required
• Bachelors degree with Music Education, Psychology, or Therapy preferred
• Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience preferred
  
  

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Music Therapist Board Certification required
