Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of children and contribute to a brighter and healthier future for all.Summary : Responsible for serving as a process and workflow expert who will work across the hospital to improve workflows and processes that directly impact private physicians. Works on recurring, systemic, and formal Process Improvement projects that will enable Children's to provide better service to physicians and thus improve physician satisfaction and increase business for Children's.Responsibilities :
- Improve and manage workflows and processes for Nurse Referral Coordinators, Physician Referral Coordinators, and Physician Access Center. Note : these positions are in Physician Relations but are shared and sometimes co-managed by other departments. Part of this work includes developing, managing, and constantly updating work flows through out hospital for incoming calls from physicians that require interface with all service lines and inpatient areas in order to lead to a successful resolution.
- Handle issues that are escalated and / or become recurring issues by working with various departments. This person will create immediate solutions and also work to develop and institutionalize changes to prevent problems from happening again. Track issues and resolutions, report trends and recommend root cause resolution.
- Represent Physician Relations and the needs of the private physician in hospital wide, formal, process improvement projects. This work will result in systemic changes that benefit Children's and the private physicians.
- Success in this job requires a high level of knowledge about the inner workings of the hospital. This person must continually spend time learning and understanding the hospital, its service lines, and its processes. This person will focus on learning the workflows and departments that directly affect a private physician's access, ease of use / customer service, and information on patients. Gather information, build relationships to make issue resolution and systemic change possible.
