What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compensation Analyst position at CHILDREN'S HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA CARDIOLOGY?
Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Compensation Analyst serves as a subject matter expert on analyzing compensation information, trends and provides recommendations to the Human Resources department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of related compensation analysis experience, healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
- Must possess a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; emphasis with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer service skills, good judgement and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through discipline.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills and participation in group discussions, enabling information-based decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert to effectively assist with compensation related activities and projects.
- Develop, analyze, and assist in the administration of compensation program that meets the company objectives and needs.
- Perform in-depth market analysis by collecting and extracting data from numerous sources and preparing reports to make recommendations.
- Consult with Human Resources Managers and Director to assist with compensation decisions or issues.
- Responsible for compensation project management and leading annual benchmarking and survey processes to include determination of appropriate benchmark surveys, active participation in third-party industry meetings, and data analysis.
- Analyze compensation competitiveness to identify key insights and trends to evaluate opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Human Resources department to draft justification for recommendations.
- Review and evaluate job descriptions ensuring appropriate alignment with the organization’s compensation goals, structure, and federal and state laws.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
