What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Intern position at CHILDREN'S HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA CARDIOLOGY?
Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Finance internship provides the opportunity for a hands-on experience assisting in the evaluation, vendor research and documentation of current state merchant environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Majoring in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related discipline required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Strong to intermediate Excel skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Must possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with different level managers is required.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Finance with the evaluation of documentation of current merchant services environment.
- Assist in the development of an RFP and research of possible replacement vendors.
- Establish and maintain contact with all appropriate individuals to ensure that the plan is implemented in the best interest of the organization.
- Execute administrative and operational tasks for assigned projects.
- Learn about the healthcare business office function by gaining experience in department processes.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
