JOB SUMMARY:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Office Manager in managing the non-clinical functions
of the office, as well as managing the non-clinical functions in the absence of the Office Manager. Completing a wide range of complex, confidential, and administrative responsibilities for the Office Manager and Administrator/Branch Administrator, associated with the overall operation of the office in general. He/she exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance, and ensures the general operations are functioning to maximum ability. He/she performs work directly related to assisting with the business operations. 

Position is in office Monday-Friday 9am-5pm at 5225 S Loop 289 Suite 126 Lubbock, TX 79424

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience with supervision of administrative support staff
preferred.
2. Three (3) years of assistant experience required.
3. Home Health experience highly preferred.
4. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
7. Demonstrates strong financial management skills
8. Ability to work with people to establish goals and objectives.
9. Ability to prioritize, delegate and meet deadlines.
10. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in problem solving.
11. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record (as determined by the employer) is required for this
position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assists the Administrator, Branch Administrator, Office Manager, Supervising Nurse/Alternate
Supervising Nurse.
2. Assist in formulating, interpreting or implementing and maintaining all office/branch manuals, policies,
contracts and other essential documents.
3. Aid in operating procedures and processes to ensure effective and efficient office operations (HR,
Scheduling, Payroll, and Finance).
4. Onboard employees and maintain HR files.
5. Maintains and manages schedules.
6. Coordinating with internal staff and outside clients to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
7. Audit patient medical records for accuracy of information related to the billing process.
8. Maintain confidentiality for all work-related information.
9. Regular daily worksite attendance is an essential function of this job to execute the work efficiently
and effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Requires the mobility to work in an office environment.
2. Requires the ability to sit at desk for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel,
crouch, climb stairs, and reach while performing office functions; use hands to finger, handle or feel
objects, tools or controls; lift and/or move light weights.
3. Must be able to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making
observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment.
4. Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a keyboard to communicate through
written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer
screen.
5. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.
6. Requires ability to drive for long periods of time.
