Salary: $22 - $27.50 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm
Position Overview:
Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support and assistance to staff members with various technology-related issues and inquiries. Help Desk Technicians play a critical role in ensuring that employees can effectively use technology tools and systems, contributing to the overall productivity and efficiency of the organization. Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional) can be advantageous. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proficiency with OSX is a necessary skill. Practical experience in providing technical support, customer service, or help desk roles with network security, software packages, and computer hardware.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS), and ability to assist with basic network connectivity problems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with users and convey technical information clearly.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, etc. Extended PC viewing and keyboarding required. Extended periods of sedentary work required.
