Position Overview:
Children’s Home Society is a leading provider of services to vulnerable men, women, children, and families in South Dakota. As a Master's Level intern to provide individual and group therapy to children and their families within the residential and school programs at its Sioux Falls location.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Therapy Services: Provide direct therapeutic services to children, including case management, individual sessions, group therapy, milieu treatment, and overseeing the child's treatment and care in residence/school. Provide collaborative therapeutic services to families, including family therapy and support services to individual family members, as well as parent training.
- Communication and Documentation: Complete assessments and other documentation during the child's evaluation phase of treatment. Develop individualized Master Treatment Plans, prepare Quarterly Treatment Plan reviews and Discharge Summaries with treatment team. Maintain communication and work in cooperation with referral agencies.
- Transitional Services: Where parental rights are terminated, assist in training the new family, preparing both the child and family for placement, and monitoring the child's transition into placement.
- Child Supervision: Provide supervision and management of children as necessary.
- Professional Development: Attend required annual training. Maintain required certifications and proficiencies.

Requirements
Experience/Education/Skills:
Currently enrolled in master's level educational program in related field. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by the office.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Residential environment focused on care of children with behavioral issues. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
