Program Overview
Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS) is a voluntary therapeutic program available to youth under the age of 21 who are enrolled in NYS Medicaid. As a Community Based Provider, you will provide direct social/emotional support to youth as outlined in their individualized treatment plan. Providers are responsible for the provision of Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST). The Children’s Home utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as its primary therapeutic intervention. Services are designed to restore, rehabilitate, and support a youth’s developmentally appropriate functioning by teaching skills to compensate for, or eliminate, functional deficits and interpersonal and or behavioral health barriers associated with the youth’s behavioral needs. Services are child-centered, trauma-informed, and delivered in an environment that is most appropriate for the child/youth, which may include home, school, and community-based settings.
PART TIME and FULL TIME available
$18 - $25 an hour
Job Duties:
- Provide Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST).
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth and their families
- Remain responsive to clients needs
- Promote the caregiver-child relationship in accordance with the established treatment plan.
- Timely identify and effectively communicate all behavioral, emotional or medical needs with consented providers that are involved in the youth’s care.
- Confer regularly with the program supervisor, licensed professional, and program director as needed on each child’s progress.
- Providers are responsible for completing required administrative functions, including scheduling visits with child/youth, planning activities with youth, and completing all documentation requirements in a timely manner.
- Providers are responsible for providing safe transportation as a part of service delivery.
- Providers must collaborate with child/youth, family members, and other involved service providers to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required
- 2 years experience in Human Service field required
- Valid Driver's license required
