Department Overview
The respiratory care discipline at Children's is generating a new perspective with cutting-edge clinical and diagnostic services including the development of clinical treatment protocols for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Respiratory care is provided in a collaborative environment where the clinical and technical expertise of the respiratory care staff is valued by nursing and physician professionals. Respiratory care staff are encouraged to participate in clinical and operational processes, education of peers and patients, and research activities. Respiratory care plays a vital role in Children's national recognition for patient safety and family-centered care.
Respiratory therapists are involved in airway management, ventilatory support (including high frequency and NAVA), asthma education, point of care testing, cystic fibrosis disease management, and emergency respiratory interventions. We are a vital part of the rapid response team and the code team.

Position Summary
This role assists with various tasks related to the evaluation and delivery of respiratory care. The position works alongside the respiratory therapists and respiratory equipment technicians, ensuring timely and accurate patient care as needed.
Qualifications :
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English
- Excellent customer service and skill
- Ability to independently use a computer and other related devices to complete work
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented under minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Education :
DHS Background Study : Yes, required

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
