Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do
The Children’s Hospital Association’s Technology Innovation team is growing. The Director of Technical Product Management will drive product innovation and advancement by leveraging extensive health care data expertise. This position will play a critical role in measuring and enhancing product impact, consumer value, and ROI. Reporting to the Vice President of Data Transformation, this role will support product growth by applying expertise of healthcare data strategy, harnessing innovative approaches, and exercising product management best practices.
- Oversee the entire healthcare data product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Understand the data ecosystem supporting the current product portfolio, its end-user value, and future advancements.
- Shape healthcare data strategies to foster innovation and develop new and improved product offerings.
- Identify data enrichment opportunities using AI, advancements in interoperability, third-party offerings, or other methods to enhance product impact and value.
- Manage the delivery of third-party services to ensure they meet business expectations and align with strategic goals, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and support sales and marketing efforts.
- Implement and manage innovative healthcare data solutions, leveraging analytics, automation, and diverse datasets to collect, manage, and measure consumer behavior and product ROI.
- Provide comprehensive product analysis and summarize relevant insights for target audiences.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with leadership and key internal and external stakeholders, partnering with colleagues and stakeholders to understand, anticipate, and address customer needs, evolving data offerings accordingly.
- Foster a strong agile discipline with a focus on continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring To CHA
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Science, or a related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 8 years of product management experience, with a focus on Health Information Technology (HIT) products and services.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange standards, including HL7, FHIR, CDA, DICOM, and X12
- Strong understanding of software development processes, technologies, and agile methodologies.
- Proficient in data acquisition, database design, queries, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent organizational and project prioritization skills.
- Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
- Ability to present highly technical information to non-technical audiences to support decision-making.
- Ability to influence and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Access, and SQL.
- Basic understanding of data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.
