This position will handle the design, migration, and implementation of cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure for CHA’s centrally managed applications. CHA plans to migrate most critical applications & services from the on-premises data center out to Azure.
This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $80,000 Max: $185,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.

What You’ll Do
Children’s Hospital Association’s infrastructure team is growing! This position will handle the design, migration, and implementation of cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure for CHA’s centrally managed applications. CHA plans to migrate most critical applications & services from the on-premises data center out to Azure.
- Create and manage various services on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, with a focus on infrastructure and security-related offerings. Including: Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Internet Information Services (IIS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Containers, Storage, Networking, Databases, and Azure Security.
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Microsoft Identity & Access Management solutions, including Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD Proxy, SAML, and Active Directory Domain Services.
- Design & implement using Terraform as Infrastructure as Code for Azure Services, specifically in App Services, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Functions, Virtual Network, Application Gateway, App Insights, Front Door, etc.
- Plan, design and deploy Azure Landing Zones based on a thorough understanding of business requirements, scalability needs and security considerations.
- Provisioning of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTPS, IPSEC, and distributed networks
- Configuring and supporting Firewalls, VPN’s and associated IDS systems, including hybrid network configurations.
- Deploying and configuring Windows and future Linux VMs.
- Deploying, configuring, and optimizing Azure storage
- Mass Container Management with security and encryption.
- Performs maintenance after business hours and on weekends, as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology and/or equivalent training and experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a cloud and hybrid architecture; relevant work experience in network, security and/or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of MS Windows Server and Desktop Architecture, TCP/IP networking, and Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and MS Exchange.
- Passion for emerging IT technology solutions, industry trends, and progressive operations methodology.
- Skills in scripting and Windows PowerShell and other common scripting languages.
