Our team of dedicated professionals specializes in the care of patients with cystic fibrosis, respiratory conditions, non-critical trauma, neurological conditions (both medical and post-op surgical recovery) and urological conditions (both medical and post-op surgical recovery). Our patients have an average length of stay ranging from days to several weeks for a specialty diagnosis. Patients are cared for by strong inter-disciplinary teams that include child life, social work, integrative medicine, dietitians, case managers and other specialists. We rely on teamwork, with open and respectful communication, and promote an environment that encourages learning and professional growth. Our team is committed to providing excellent care to our patients and families.Position SummaryThe Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is considered a front-line department / unit leader. The PCS will directly lead clinical support staff and assist in the leadership of RN staff.Qualifications : License / Certification / Registration :
- Active RN on Minnesota Board of Nursing required
- Current BLS requiredEducation :
- Bachelor's degree in nursing requiredExperience :
- 3 years of direct patient care experience within a related specialty.
- Informal leadership experience is preferred (charge RN, clinical educator, preceptor, etc.).Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Desired characteristics : dependable, responsible, strong conflict resolution skills, knowledge of assigned unit, ability to multi-task, self-starter with ability to problem solve independently.
- Availability for on-call and off-hours rotations / situations as decided by department / unit.
