Position Summary The patient care manager (PCM) has overall responsibility for ensuring that services and programs provided through their assigned department / unit is child and family focused, clinically appropriate, operationally efficient, and achieves effective patient outcomes. The PCM will directly manage RN staff and assist in leadership of clinical support staff. License / Certification / Registration :
- Active RN on Minnesota Board of Nursing required
- Current BLS required Education :
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required Experience :
- 3 years of people leadership experience or advanced degree in nursing leadership in lieu of experience.
- Informal leadership experience is preferred (charge RN, clinical educator, preceptor, etc.). Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Fundamental understanding of the business side of assigned department / unit (P&L, finance, budget, etc.).
- Availability for on-call and off-hours rotations / situations as decided by department / unit.
- Desired characteristics : strategic thinker, collaborative, seeks to understand, embraces continuous improvement, navigates through change, calm demeanor, positive attitude.
