What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at Children's Learning Center?
We are looking for an experienced infant teacher that is attentive, caring, and likes to have fun! Teachers must have the ability to engage the children and earn their trust and attention.
Responsibilities
- implement a fun, hands-on and creative classroom environment and schedule
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, music, dramatic play.)
- Observe each child and plan age-appropriate activities to help each child improve their social, language, cognitive, skills and build a positive self-esteem
- Track children’s progress, plan lesson according to children's needs, and conduct family conferences
- Develop monthly lesson plans according to students' needs, strengths, and the PA Early Learning Standards.
- Collaborate with other educators
- Completed required annual trainings
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as an Early Educator
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Must pass all health and clearance requirements
- Patient, friendly, consistent and reliable
- Certification in Pediatric First Aid/CPR (within the first 90 days of employment)
- 2 years childcare experience and GED/High School diploma required
