Toddler Room Teacher

Children's Learning Center South is looking to hire full time teachers for our toddler room in order to accommodate the need for childcare in the Lawrence community.

Candidates must have previous experience working in early childhood education. Candidates must have a CDA or higher education in ECE or a related field OR be willing to attain a CDA paid for by CLC/ community partners.

Must enjoy working with children, be reliable, have good communication skills and flexible.

Leads Teachers would be responsible for:

- Completing initial state mandated trainings, annual trainings and trauma informed trainings

- CPR and First Aid training

- Pass FBI and DCF screenings

-Pass a Health Assessment and TB Test

- Creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans

- Guiding and scaffolding children

- Creating a safe, clean, nurturing environment for children to learn & grow

- Parent communication both in person and via Procare Connect app

- Daily classroom cleaning and organization

- Diaper changes/ potty training as needed

- Collaborating and communicating with management and teachers in an effective, clear and positive way

- Other tasks as designated

Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
