What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESIDENTIAL CARE SPECIALIST I/II position at Children's Legacy Center?
As a Residential Care Specialist I, you will help aid in the supervision and care of domestic violence victims and their children. The Residential Care Specialist I will help provide a trauma informed environment for victims through a team-based and relational approach. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the shelter operates smoothly and efficiently.
As a Residential Care Specialist II, you will help aid in the supervision and care of domestic violence victims and their children. The Residential Care Specialist II will help provide a trauma informed environment for victims through a team-based and relational approach. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the shelter operates smoothly and efficiently. The Residential Counselor II will have additional duties and increased responsibilities that may include supporting various aspects of daily operations and enhancing client care services as needed.
This position will be from Wednesday - Sunday, 2 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 00 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Document interventions and services provided in ServicePoint
- Support the needs and provide general guidance to clients
- Participate in case staffing as needed
- Assist clients in daily activities
- Assist with children / care as needed
- Review end-of-day emails and incident reports to remain updated on current situations
- Facilitate shelter intake and exit procedures and paperwork
- Maintain medication log during intake and continually track usage
- Cleaning duties include operating the dishwasher, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, turning over resident rooms, dusting, sterilizing with Lysol, and doing laundry
- Maintain closet and shed organization / maintenance
- Help build and tear down shelter equipment and newly purchased items as needed
- Intake and process donations and in-kind supplies
- Assist in the implementation of Family Fun Night, Self-Care Saturday, holidays and resident birthdays
- Assist with non-Peer Support client transportation
- Provide Crisis Hotline coverage (may include nights, evenings and weekends)
