What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Receptionist/Assistant position at Children's Legal Center?
Job Summary:
The Legal Receptionist/Assistant at Children's Legal Center will work with our office manager, attorneys, and social workers to ensure high quality representation of children in custody, guardianship, visitation, and family offense matters in Erie County Family Court, Integrated Domestic Violence Court, Supreme Court and Surrogate's Court.
Duties include:
- greeting clients, answering phones, and maintaining the reception area
- opening, closing, and updating legal files
- drafting legal correspondence and documents (will train as needed)
- in person, 9 am to 5 pm position, with liberal vacation and holiday time
Requirements:
Strong organization and attention to detail skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Notary Public (CLC will pay for course if not currently a notary)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
