Children's Lighthouse North Center Chicago in Chicago, IL is looking for one lead twos teacher to join our team. We are located on 2600 W Irving Park Rd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- To implement our curriculum in a way that is meaningful and interesting to young children.
- To use Positive Guidance when assisting children in learning how to self-regulate and manage their behavior appropriately.
- To facilitate a classroom community where all children feel safe, valued and loved.
- To be a positive part of our center community.
Qualifications
- Must have 60 college credits with at least 6 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development per DCFS Requirements
- Have an understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practices
- Experience leading a two year old classroom
- Able to sit, stand, kneel, and be active in a classroom setting. Also be able to lift 40 pounds
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent parent interactions
- Truly enjoys and respects small children
