We are seeking a highly skilled Culturally Sustaining Educator Coach to join our team at Children's Literacy Initiative. The successful candidate will have 3 years of coaching and/or instructional leadership experience, with a strong background in adult learning and development.
About the Role
- The Culturally Sustaining Educator Coach will be responsible for designing and facilitating effective learning experiences for coaches through ongoing development, goal-setting, and progress-monitoring.
- They will also facilitate adult learning experiences for school and system leaders within and across systems, with a focus on equipping educators to deliver high-quality instruction that affirms and sustains Black and Latinx children.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of approaches to transformational coaching, adult learning, and development that emphasizes equitable and identity-affirming outcomes for educators and leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve teacher practice and student outcomes, with a focus on culturally responsive and sustaining instructional practices.
- Design and facilitate professional development experiences for educators, including workshops, seminars, and coaching sessions.
- Collaborate with the national content team to refine and develop practical tools and systems for internal staff members to support the work.
