Overview

The EVS Expeditor, Patient Progression is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services Discharge Technician Team. This role focuses on improving patient throughput by ensuring timely patient room cleaning and preparation. The EVS Expeditor, Patient Progression will partner with clinical and non-clinical teams to prioritize work for optimal patient flow, collaborate on resolving delays in cleaning, and removing EVS-related admission, discharge barriers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe, appropriate, cost-effective way.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of employees to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Promote cross departmental collaboration and shared decision making.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent or 3-5 years experience 3 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting; previous experience in environmental services preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.40/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
