Overview
The Acute Mental Health Provider provides acute mental health screening, referral, and case management services to children and adolescents within the Emergency Department.
This is a 36-hour per week Full-Time role, scheduled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Evening Shift from 12 : 00pm - 12 : 30am. This shift includes a great Shift Differential!
Location : Our Main Kansas City, Missouri campus.

Responsibilities
- Rapid acute mental health screening, referral, and documentation ? Respond to the Emergency Department within prescribed time frame and complete acute mental health screening of patients who have been identified to be at risk of harm to themselves or others. Upon completion of screening, complete appropriate referrals which may include inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or outpatient mental health services, and complete all associated documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaboration with Service Providers. Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships with mental health service providers.
- Professional Development. Demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team, department, and hospital by regular attendance at meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant for other members of the department and hospital, participation on committees, and responding to hospital and / or community requests for educational programs.

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $29.66 / hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.
Remote Work / Work from Home
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
