Department Overview The Children's Emergency departments, located in Minneapolis and St. Paul, are staffed 24 hours-a-day by board-eligible or board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and by nurses with specialized education in pediatric emergency medicine. Each facility is designed to support short-stay needs, coordinate pediatric and neonatal care transport, assault and abuse services, access to pediatric specialists, and emergency telephone consultation and referral. Position Summary Emergency Medicine nurse practitioners require strong clinical and interpersonal skills while practicing alongside Pediatric Emergency physicians and within a multidisciplinary team at Children’s main campuses -Minneapolis and St Paul. Emergency Medicine PNPs provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral and health education as it relates to physical, emotional, spiritual, neurological, behavioral and/or psychiatric issues for infants and children.

Qualifications:

Qualifications Current MN RN/APRN license. Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing certification Board,(PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Current BLS. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
