Job Description

Job Title : Pharmacy Technician

Job Specialty : Pharmacy Tech Inpatient

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 5x8.5-Hour (06 : 00 - 14 : 30), alternating mornings (6-14 : 30, 7-15 : 30, or 8-16 : 30) and evenings (14-22 : 30); every other weekend.

Guaranteed Hours : Not specified

Experience : 1 years of recent inpatient experience preferred

License : DC Tech License required. Pending license acceptable for submission but must be issued before the start date.

Certifications : BLS, CPhT required

Must-Have :

Inpatient / Acute Care experience
Experience with EHR platform Cerner and Production Platform DoseEdge is favorable
Pediatric experience is a plus but not required
Medication Dispensing System : Pyxis
Skills in pharmacy inventory management : removal (recalls, returns, outdates, reverse distribution)
Storage requirements knowledge

Job Description :

Responsible for front-line medication verification and dispensing roles for the inpatient pharmacy operation.

Engage in pharmacy inventory management, ensuring accurate removal and storage of medications as per guidelines.

Work in compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to non-smoking policies.

Provide timely and safe dispensing of medications to patients across various units, including critical care.

Participate in orientation and complete all required modules prior to commencement of role.

Flexibility to work alternating shifts and every other weekend / holiday as required.

Maintain a professional demeanor and provide high-quality care to patients of all ages.

Expected to complete any missed shifts and adhere strictly to the return-to-work and profile photo policies.
