Job Summary

Responsible for accurate and timely data entry of all practice charges and balancing of controls; data entry or all miscellaneous insurance payments, communication with insurance companies/patients and the timely follow-up of all outstanding claims with third party payers. Responsible for researching, correcting, updating erroneous or missing account information, insurance, guarantor or other medical information, vouchers, purchase orders, vendor statements. Performs accurate billing and appropriate reconciliation of charges in a timely manner; provides reports, documentation, and ongoing statistics as needed. Ensures cash/insurance payment posting activities are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Education

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience

Three year's experience in medical administrative or billing with emphasis on financial or insurance related work.
