Job Summary
The Manager of Special Lab Services will be responsible for managing the operations of the Special Lab Services and Referred Testing areas. Ensuring accurate and timely collection, processing and referral of clinical samples. The manager's responsibilities include hiring and scheduling for personnel located in the special lab services and referred testing areas. Areas of responsibility include management and training of laboratory personnel, controlling expenses-tracking revenue and troubleshooting if needed, assisting with budget preparation and monitoring, technical process management, management of quality, regulatory and accrediting agency compliance, and motivating a high-performance workforce. Additionally, the Manager will foster a safe, positive, and collaborative work environment. All Referred Testing and Special Lab Services personnel will report to this manager.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor's degree preferred
Licensure Certification and/or Registries
Registry as Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician with a national board of registry - ASCP or equivalent required.
