Job Summary

WOCN manages conditions such as pressure ulcers, wounds, stomas, vascular ulcers, fistulas, continence diversion and functional disorders of the bowel and bladder. Responsible for the pressure ulcer program and functions as a consultant to other disciplines.

BSN Required.

Graduate from an accredited WOCN Education Program preferred

Experience

At least 3 years experience. Pediatric experience preferred

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

Current Alabama Board of Nursing license

Board Certified WOCN must be obtained within one year of employment

Current BLS certification required
