We are seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) to join our team! In this role, you'll play a vital role in patient care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, filling in when our regular staff takes vacation or needs time off. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in healthcare but desires a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities :
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality radiographs.
- Position patients accurately for various examinations according to physician orders.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any anxieties by providing clear explanations and answering questions.
- Practice radiation safety principles (ALARA) to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and image acquisition.
- Document patient care procedures accurately and maintain detailed records.
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education (hours may be obtained on your own time).
- Prepare reports and manage images within PACS systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and request repairs as needed.
- Review completed work daily for accuracy and completeness.
