Job Summary:
The Financial Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization. This role involves data entry, financial reporting, reconciliation, and working closely with the owner and certified public accountant to ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions into QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare clear and concise financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and budgeting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the owner and certified public accountant to ensure that financial records are accurate and complete.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience as a bookkeeper/ Financial Clerk
- Strong financial knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of non-profit and for-profit business operations
