What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Prevention Group Coordinator/Facilitator position at Children's Resource Center?

JOB SUMMARY:

The focus of this position would be to coordinate all aspects of the Early Childhood Social and Emotional Groups including the preschool and third grade Sexual Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP), ACT Raising Safe Kids (children’s program), and other evidenced-based children’s prevention groups at Children’s Resource Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solicit and schedule preschools and childcare centers throughout the year

Facilitate Early Childhood Sexual Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP) 3x per week at private and public preschools/childcare centers

Provide technical assistance/consultation before, during, and after scheduled visits

Conduct both parent and staff SAPP educational meetings

Facilitate yearly 3rd grade teacher/staff SAPP training (October)

Develop, administer, and score pre/post-tests at both preschool and 3rd grade levels

Maintain and update programs, as needed

Collect data, prepare reports, and compile mid and year-end reports/summaries for reporting to CRC Board, Wood County ADAMHS Board and Wood County Public Schools.

Maintain scheduling of groups in schools and other community agencies including CRC

Facilitate children’s groups throughout year, being comfortable using books, puppets, songs, etc., to deliver program

Participate in community events when appropriate

Develop, administer, and score pre/post-tests for appropriate groups

Research, maintain and update programming, as necessary

Represent the Children’s Resource Center in a professional and respectful manner across all platforms (i.e. in person, virtual, social media, etc.) including appearance and demeanor

Promote agency mission and values through actions and communications

Promote trauma-informed care by utilizing the core values and tools with others as identified through the agency’s TIC model

Communicate in articulate, organized and grammatically accurate manner, orally and in written communications

Adhere to HIPAA, agency, state, and federal guidelines regarding client confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Mental Health or Human Development and Family Studies. Early Childhood development experience preferable.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, however, applicant must be able to facilitate curriculum to and manage a group of children

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A Flexible hours including evenings (some evenings are required based on departmental needs)

A satisfactory criminal records check (BCI and FBI check)

Valid driver’s license and transportation with insurance

Ability to utilize computer programs such as:

o Microsoft programs such as Teams, Word, Excel, PPT, etc.

o Electronic Health Record (when applicable)
