What are the responsibilities and job description for the Organizational Finance Specialist (Independent Contractor) position at Children's Rights Collaborative of Northwest Ohio?
CRCNWO is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to manage our daily and weekly accounting tasks. This external contractor will collaborate closely with our leadership team to ensure accurate financial management, compliance with nonprofit standards, and long term fiscal sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nonprofit accounting, including proficiency with QuickBooks software, and a commitment to meticulous financial stewardship.
This role will manage essential accounting and bookkeeping functions, including payroll processing (monthly, quarterly, and annual), filing payroll tax returns, issuing W-2s, preparing vendor payments, recording debit card transactions, paying subcontractors, and preparing 1099s. Additional responsibilities include recording cash receipts, preparing daily deposits, and performing monthly bank reconciliations. The role also supports the preparation of the agency’s budget and contributes to financial reporting.
