Urgent Care for Children is looking for Family and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners to for the children in Tuscaloosa, AL. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with kids.
Essential Functions:
- Our Nurse Practitioner is a primary member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License.
- This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
- In this role the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is involved in a variety of cases that are customary to an Urgent Care setting. Provide pediatric care to patients from Infant to the age of 21 and their families

Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited nursing program
- Active RN and PNP licensure in AL and be board certification as a NP in Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Primary Care or Family Care
- 2 year experience providing care as a nurse practitioner
- Strong acute care clinical background preferred but no required
- Manage varied activities in a fast-paced urgent care environment
- Provide evidence-based quality care
- Comfortable with technology [i.e. EMR, Microsoft Suite (word, excel etc.)]
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, medical partners at various levels, patients and family members
Schedule:

Clinic Hours of Operation
o Monday – Friday 12 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
o Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. - Opportunity to travel to other clinics as needed
- Urgent Care for Children’s clinic hours subject to change based on company needs, training, etc.
