Role & Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the planning and implementation of orientation and clinical education for staff in collaboration with patient care leadership to ensure competent nursing care for children and families.
- Responsible for collaborating with peers, pediatric nurses, and patient care leadership to develop and implement standards of practice and projects to educate staff and support the mission and vision.
- Participates as an active member of councils and committees within The Professional Practice Model assuring high quality learning experiences and effective relationships with staff.

POSITION | 1.0 FTE - 20 hours/week as Clinical Educator & 20 hours/week in a support staff role
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
- A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
- Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Master’s degree preferred
- Must have knowledge and skills of professional practice in nursing acquired through experience as a practicing registered nurse for a minimum of 2 years
- Three to five years of experience including clinical nursing practice and education is preferred.
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Requires independent judgment to develop, implement, and evaluate nursing experiences in the care of children and families.
- Interpersonal and system-thinking skills required for collaborating across practice and educational contexts.
- Requires effective and collaborative communication skills for discussing sensitive issues with leadership, physicians, and staff.
- Requires effective skills in assessing performance and providing constructive feedback.
Certifications/Licenses:
